Most AI products for children and young people aged 0 to 25 are built — and adopted — without understanding how they actually develop.

The AI × education market is growing fast — but most AI products and student-facing AI features are developed, deployed and funded without a grounded understanding of cognitive development, learning science, behavioural safety, or children's digital rights.

Content moderation is not enough. AI can create unhealthy patterns of attachment, cognitive offloading, dependency and anthropomorphic confusion — risks that stay invisible unless you know what to look for.

Absolutely. The Light Track was made for you. Whether you're exploring the idea of founding something, advising a team, or simply want to understand what responsible AI design for children really looks like — you're exactly who we want in the room. You don't need to be a founder (yet, or ever) to apply.
Very much interactive — that's the whole point. Each of the seven 90-minute sessions runs 50/50: roughly 45 minutes of the expert sharing their research and frameworks, followed by 45 minutes of open Q&A. We want these sessions to be as useful as possible for participants, so the conversation is the main event.
